Sarah has been a civil rights attorney, working on behalf of individuals with disabilities, since 2005 when she received a Juris Doctorate from University of San Francisco. Sarah has specialized knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (the “IDEA”) as well as other civil rights laws such as Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Sarah has been a part of the Tollner Law Offices team for 5 years.

Sarah is the proud mother of two young men, one of which has Autism. Sarah enjoys hiking, traveling the world and working in her garden. Sarah is a devoted supporter of a new start-up community farm in Santa Cruz called Common Roots Farm. Common Roots Farm provides a meaningful place for people with and without developmental disabilities to work, volunteer, socialize and tend the earth. Sarah also supports a new housing community in Santa Cruz called Coastal Haven Families which will be an integrated pocket neighborhood for people with and without disabilities.
