Emily graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, Riverside in 2018, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Law and Society. She then graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southwestern Law School in 2021, earning her Juris Doctor as well as concentrations in both Public Interest Law and Criminal Law and Advocacy. While at Southwestern Law School, Emily enriched her advocacy skills in Southwestern’s Children’s Rights Clinic. In the Children’s Rights Clinic, Emily assisted children with disabilities from low-income families in receiving supports and services from various school districts. Emily also enhanced her understanding of supplemental areas of law, including the IDEA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Social Security, and In-Home Supportive Services. In addition to her work surrounding special education law, Emily received a comprehensive education in various legal topics pertaining to children and the law. These areas include the Americans with Disabilities Act, dependency court, and family law.
