David brings a unique and valuable background to his special education law practice. After thirteen years as a litigator of general business cases that included many trials, arbitrations and mediations, David took on the challenge of serving as Executive Director of Pacific Autism Center for Education (PACE), a large special education school and residential program for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Sunnyvale, California. It was at PACE that David learned the language and process of special education, specifically as it relates to autism and its many treatment methodologies. After PACE, David became the Executive Director of Rebekah Children’s Services (RCS) in Gilroy. RCS treats children with mental health disorders, and its special education school for children with emotional disturbance (ED) was among the best in the valley. David brings his trial experience, unique knowledge of special education process and treatment, and formidable passion to his special education practice that serves families struggling to receive an appropriate education for their children.
David is also familiar with a host of non-public schools and other specialized programs and therapists in Northern California. This knowledge has been central to his success as a special education attorney, as it allows him to assist his clients in answering what is often the most difficult question: “What does my child need?”
David will help you find the right private school for your child (at district expense where appropriate) or assist you in making the district’s school program the best it can be for your child.
