In 1994, Ms. Yates’ “special education” began when her then four-year-old son was diagnosed with autism. Due to that experience, Ms. Yates learned firsthand about the critical importance of intensive early intervention. This led her to begin representing parents in their fight to get the services that they need for their children.
Since that time, Ms. Yates has worked with hundreds of families in securing services for families in Northern and Southern California from both school districts and the regional centers.
